You can find the cooling fans and radiators to fit the excavators, loaders, dozers, generators, and more you want at FridayParts, we have an abundant stock of engine spare parts, and you can search for the aftermarket parts and replacement parts you want here.

Cooling Fans and Radiators of Construction Machines

Cooling fans and radiators are essential components in the cooling system of construction machines.

Cooling fans can help the radiator enhance the heat dissipation effect, thereby removing the refrigerant's heat in the air conditioning system to cool the engine. They are usually installed on or near the engine to help dissipate heat or enhance the radiator's effect, ultimately ensuring the ideal engine temperature.

There are tons of high-performance radiators prepared for your construction machine brands, our radiators can ensure that your engine is at the correct temperature to allow your engine to run efficiently.

Radiator and Fan for Efficient Engine Cooling

FridayParts provides customers with high-quality cooling parts of varied types, such as electric puller fans, low profile fans, condenser fans, engine radiators, water tank radiators, etc., and with brands and makes provided, all of which can be well-matched to your construction machines.

Benefits of Upgrading High-Performance Engine Cooling Fans and Radiators

There are lots of benefits to upgrading your excavators, loaders, dozers, and generators with high-performance and aftermarket cooling fans and radiators. Taking dozers as an example, if your dozer is traveling at high speeds or carrying a load, more heat will be generated. If you don't remove excess heat timely, your engine could fail catastrophically.

It is wise to upgrade your engine cooling system performance, which will ensure your engine runs efficiently at higher temperatures. If you need to upgrade fans and radiators, please purchase according to your construction machinery model and cooling system design, necessary, please get suggestions from your engine part expert - FridayParts.

FAQs

Investing in a quality cooling fan and heatsink can be overwhelming with many questions, including brand, performance, model, price, warranty, and more. Here are some frequently asked questions:

Is the Engine Cooling Fan the Same as the Radiator Fan?

Yes, they often refer to the same component, which can confuse as the two terms are often used interchangeably. Importantly, the radiator is an independent component, and the engine cooling fan is a good partner of the radiator, which can help the radiator increase the heat dissipation effect (the radiator itself is responsible for heat dissipation, ensuring that the engine can be cooled).

How to Check an Engine Cooling Fan?

  • Firstly, you need to check the fuse. If the fuse is intact, you should check the temperature control switch and short the temperature control switch. If the fan is running at this time, it means that the temperature control switch is damaged.
  • Check the fan for deformed blades or loose parts, which can cause noise and imbalance. Also, check that the fan mounting bolts are tight. If the engine is equipped with a mechanical fan clutch, verify it works properly.
  • Observe the speed of the fan blades to judge whether the fan is running normally. The fan should be running appropriately to ensure sufficient airflow through the radiator. If the fan works, the problem could be somewhere between the fan and the battery, such as a temperature sensor, wiring, or relay; or, the engine may be faulty. The temperature of the antifreeze in the radiator is higher than 88~93°C, and the electric fan is running normally. It is worth noting that if the fan is still running when the temperature is lower than 88°C or higher than 93°C, the fan is bad.

How to Check an Engine Radiator?

Please make sure the engine is at room temperature before checking. Check the appearance of the radiator for aging, wear, and cracks. If so, please repair or replace it in time, otherwise the coolant will leak out.

Check the radiator core and the joints of the upper and lower water pipes for leaks, as the coolant will evaporate and leave obvious marks. Also, check the clamps on the upper and lower radiator hoses to make sure they are securely fastened, loose clamps are often the main cause of leaks here.

Check the inside of the radiator core for blockage, remove the radiator cap, and start the engine to warm up, when the engine reaches operating temperature, you can see the coolant start to flow through the opening. If the coolant is not flowing, the radiator may be clogged, and the thermostat or the water pump may be faulty.
